Christian Rain “Rainy” Castañeda – Of Counsel

Christian Rain “Rainy” Castañeda is a litigator whose approach to advocacy is informed by her experience as a former Assistant District Attorney in the Brooklyn and Queens District Attorneys’ Offices, two of New York City’s busiest prosecutors’ offices.

Her experience as a prosecutor gave her firsthand insight into every stage of a criminal prosecution, from active investigations through courtroom advocacy and trial preparation. Working alongside law enforcement, including responding directly to active crime scenes, reinforced the importance of understanding the facts, anticipating challenges, and developing strategy long before a case reaches the courtroom.

At LOPRESTI, PLLC, she applies those principles, along with the investigative discipline and courtroom experience developed during her years as a prosecutor, to counsel clients through complex litigation. She believes effective advocacy begins with understanding each client’s objectives and developing legal strategies grounded not only in the law, but also in the unique facts and circumstances of every matter.

She earned her Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law. Born and raised in Laredo, Texas, she is admitted to practice in New York.
